Washington’s library not only supports the subject curriculum by providing fiction, non-fiction, and reference materials, but also provides recreational reading materials on a variety of subjects and reading levels. All materials cataloged here are previewed and approved in accordance with LBUSD policy.

  • Computer automated circulation and card catalog system
  • Over 15,000 books available
  • Numerous encyclopedias in book form
  • On-line access

Policies

  • Students must present an ID card to check out books
  • Students can check out two items for two weeks
  • Materials can be renewed twice
  • No overdue fines are collected; however, no other materials may be checked out until books are returned
  • Students must pay for damaged or lost books. If lost books are found, the money will be refunded.

Before school students may:

  • check out or return library books
  • work on school assignments
  • do school related work on the computers
  • read magazines or books
